Thank you to all those businesses who have applied to the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant. If you haven’t applied yet and you think you may be eligible please go on the WODC website to check the criteria and fill out the application form. Applications are open until 13 February which is also the deadline for supplying all the necessary information for a grant to be processed.
As we updated previously, the Government are requiring additional checks on these grants but we are now issuing payments to those eligible who have applied with the correct information.
Next week we will be opening up applications for a new Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) related to the impact of Omicron over the festive period. This grant is intended to support some of those businesses not eligible for the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant.
The funding we have received from Government for ARG is very limited and for this reason it will be specifically targeted at businesses that have been severely impacted by the omicron variant and aren’t eligible for the other grant. All eligible businesses will need to make a new application regardless of if they have had a grant in the past.
We will open up information about the criteria for the ARG grant as well as the application form, on our website next week and we will send out an email update once it is live. Applications will be open until the end of February.
