WTC Grants 2023-24

Woodstock Town Council

Applications for Grants and Donations

Applications are invited from local organisations such as clubs, societies and community groups for a grant or donation from Woodstock Town Council in 2023/24.  In Woodstock we are fortunate in having a wide variety of community groups and charities which contribute to the town and as a Council are very aware of the hard work done by volunteers to help make our town a better place to live and do our best to provide financial assistance where needed. The aim of these grants and donations is to support organisations shown to be working for the benefit of the people of Woodstock.

There are three categories of grant or donation: regular grants; occasional grants or donations; and donations up to £300.00. The Council will not usually provide 100% funding for any project.

The total budget that Woodstock Town Council allocated to grants and donations in 2022/23 was £3,000 (three thousand pounds). The number of organisations that it is possible to assist is therefore limited and so preference may be given to those groups that have not been previously assisted by the Council.  Multiple applications from the same group in any one year are discouraged as are applications from party political organisations.

The Council will normally favour organisations whose activities are focused upon Woodstock residents and where their service or activity meets an identified need, but does not displace the work of an existing organisation. Grant application forms and guidance notes are available from the Town Hall. The deadline for the receipt of completed applications for grant aid is 16th December 2022.
