Consultation on the proposed 20mph Speed Limit for Woodstock
The Town Council has received a proposal from the 20’s Plenty for Woodstock Working Group which is recommending locations for the 20mph speed limits and also proposing changes to other speed limits in the area.
A summary of the group’s recommendations are: -•
- That all of Woodstock’s Town Centre and all residential roads be included in the proposed 20 mph speed limit, with the exception of some sections of the A44 Oxford Road and Manor Road
- That in respect of the Shipton Road approach to Woodstock the 20 mph speed limit be moved from its existing location to approx. 100m south of the new junction currently under construction on Cowells Road with Shipton Road.
- That in respect of the Banbury Road approach to Woodstock the 20 mph speed limit commence at approx. 100m north of “The Retreat”
A full copy of the report can be download from the Town Council’s Website or a paper copy can be viewed at the Town Hall during opening hours which are currently Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am to 1pm.
The Town Council would like to seek the resident’s opinions on the proposal and has compiled the following short survey which covers each of the recommendations in the proposal.
