Woodstock Town Council wishes to express its most sincere condolences to Her Majesty the Queen and all the Royal Family on the sad death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. Prince Philip was widely respected, loved and admired. He has been an irreplaceable support to Her Majesty throughout her reign and, until recent years, very active and approachable through his public service in the UK and across the World. He will be missed by many, perhaps particularly those who have benefitted from the varied projects he initiated for young people.
It is national advice that there should be no formal books of condolence available for the public to sign, but that those wishing to express their condolences do so on-line at https://www.royal.uk/condolence
Those who might in normal times have wished to make floral tributes are being asked instead to make donations to charities of their choice.
Cllr Mathew Parkinson, Town Mayor
